With CARCAT-DUO, it gets even better. DUO comes with a strobing white LED along with the usual ultrasound.

Ultrasound – Causes auditory (related to hearing) distress due to constant bombarding of ultrasound waves and vibrations. It also confuses and scares the rat as ultrasound is its sixth sense. It uses it as a GPS for navigating in the dark. Rats also use ultrasound for distress signalling to other rats and also mating calls.
