Typically, standard baking cups measure 2″ x 1 1/4″ and are commonly used for traditional-sized cupcakes or muffins. Mini baking cups with a 1″ diameter can be used for presenting chocolate covered cherries or caramels, and 3 1/2″ diameter jumbo baking cups can be used for gorgeous gourmet cupcake creations!
You can use paper liners or directly fill the nonstick baking cups with about a tablespoonful of batter. I was skeptical about how well the machine would work, but my cupcakes – and I tried multiple batches – turned out perfectly every time.Baking a batch of cupcakes is incredibly easy with the cupcake maker, which turns out 7 light, fluffy cakes in around 7 to 10 minutes. The cupcake holes should be lined with cake cases before adding the mixture. The Lakeland Mini Muffin Cases (ref: 5546) are ideal for use with this product.
Flat cupcakes tend to be moister because the batter can spread out evenly as it cooks, while domed cupcakes can be dryer since the batter is more concentrated in the center.
