Once it’s all dry and ready to use, it’s important to use the right kind of sugar. I don’t recommend using sugarpaste/fondant/readyto- roll icing for silicone moulds.

Cake Decorating Moulds Baking with silicone molds is easy and they come in many shapes and sizes which makes the whole process of baking a lot more interesting and fun. Although they appeared quite recently, people found a lot of creative ways to put them to good use.Once the mold is full of fondant, use a cornstarch-dusted rolling pin to roll over the shape and press it firmly into the mold. Dusting the rolling pin ensures the fondant doesn’t stick and lift out of the mold.
Well no actually, it’s easier than you might think, and opens up a whole world of design and decoration opportunities. As well as fondant/gumpaste/modelling chocolate, you can use silicone molds with Buttercream, as long as you have three things: refrigeration, a flexible mold, and patience!
All you have to do is smooth your buttercream into the mold, then place the whole thing in the freezer for 30-40 minutes until it’s nice and firm. To remove, turn your mold upside down over some parchment paper and gently push the frozen buttercream out.
